Boarding Department.

The department is charged with enormous tasks whose efforts are all geared towards ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our girls within  

this home away from home, St Maria Goretti Rombo Girls’ Secondary  School. 

Among these duties is the accommodation of the learners. This has been  achieved through the availability of two large dormitories which are well  equipped with standard beds. To ensure safety within the dormitories, regular  fumigation is undertaken to keep at bay any infection that would otherwise be  a disaster. Within the dormitories, there are student leaders (cube leaders) who are in charge of ensuring that sanitation is of the best standards. 

The school also provides the learners with well-balanced diets which are served in commendable  quantities and no single girl goes  without food. Meals are normally taken in the dining hall under strict supervision of the department, teachers  on duty and the students governing council. 

The department also expresses its gratitude to the school administration  for having engaged the services of two school matrons who ensure the safety  of the girls at night and also ensure the girls are medically taken care of. The  girls are given drugs in school for simple ailments and conduct referrals to the  Catholic Mission Hospital in Rombo in case of any severe case.  

Though the name Kajiado sounds synonymous to aridity, the school has  unlimited supply of safe water both for drinking and use This enhances our girls’  comfort and safety from any disease that might arise as a result of dehydration  or contamination.With continued support from the school administration, we  hope to offer the best in future.
